On behalf of the German Institute for Tourism Research (DITF) at the FH Westküste – Univerity of Applied Sciences, DIW Econ, in cooperation with the German Economic Institute for Tourism at the University of Munich (dwif), has calculated the ” Economic Impact of Tourism” for Schleswig-Holstein (with reference year 2019) based on a Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) for the third time after 2015 and 2017.
On behalf of the German Institute for Tourism Research (DITF) at the FH Westküste – Univerity of Applied Sciences, DIW Econ, in cooperation with the German Economic Institute for Tourism at the University of Munich (dwif), has calculated for the first time the ” Economic Impact of Tourism” for Saxony-Anhalt (with reference year 2019) based on a Tourism Satellite Account (TSA).
The study “Maritime value-added and employment in Germany” makes it possible for the first time to make a scientifically substantiated assessment of the overall economic significance of the industry for Germany. The results can serve as a trend-setting basis for discussion for political decisions at all federal and regional levels.
The study was conducted on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) by a consortium consisting of ISL (Institute of Shipping Economics and Logistics), Fraunhofer CML, ETR (Economic Trends Research) and DIW Econ.
On behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and the German Environment Agency (UBA), the consortium consisting of DIW Econ, adelphi, dwif-Tourismusberatung, BTE Tourismus- und Regionalberatung as well as Prof Dr Wolfgang Strasdas and his team from the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development investigated the question of how tourism in Germany can be subjected to a systematic evaluation with regard to its sustainable development.
The result is a first feasibility study for a Tourism Sustainability Satellite Account (TSSA), which is essentially based on the statistical frameworks of the National Accounts (NA) and the Environmental-Economic Accounts (EEA).
On behalf of Greenpeace, DIW Econ GmbH, together with the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) and the Forum Ökologisch-Soziale Marktwirtschaft (FÖS), has for the first time calculated the employment and climate protection effects of selected green economic stimulus packages. For this purpose, nine packages of measures for a climate-oriented economic stimulus package in the energy, transport, buildings, industry and land-use sectors were compiled from a total of 285 collected proposals for economic stimulus measures: The nine-point plan.
