Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME)[T9]

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) are the backbone of any economy. In the EU member states, SME account for roughly two thirds of all jobs and contribute around half of total value added. In Germany, SMEs and the Mittelstand in particular are the core of the economy and enjoy a good reputation all over the world. In order to remain competitive in the future, SMEs must constantly reposition themselves, drive innovation and deal with challenges such as business succession and shortage of skilled workers.

We support our customers in identifying challenges that SMEs face and to unleash their full potential. We have extensive experience in analysing SME developments, trends and policies on European level as well as on national level, built on econometric forecasting models and thorough policy evaluation.
