Prof Dr Carsten Schröder

Prof Dr Carsten Schröder is Head of the Applied Panel Analyses of the Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP) at DIW Berlin and Professor of Economics with a focus on finance and social policy at the Free University of Berlin. Carsten Schröder’s expertise lies in the areas of empirical finance, distributional issues and old-age provision. His career to date has taken him to the Catholic University of Leuven, Université Montesquieu Bordeaux, DIW Berlin, the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR) in Rostock, the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and the University of Kiel. Prof. Schröder studied and received his doctorate at the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel.
