About DIW Econ

DIW Econ is the consulting company of DIW Berlin (German Institute for Economic Research). We work at the interface between science, business and politics and support national and international clients in answering economic questions based on applied economic research.

Your tasks

  • Support in the qualitative and quantitative analysis of economic issues
  • Familiarisation with complex issues with the help of literature research and supporting activities in the preparation, processing and analysis of primary and secondary data sets
  • Collaboration in project acquisition and communication of project results to the appropriate audience

Our requirements

  • Strong interest and understanding of microeconomic and/or macroeconomic topics
  • First experience in writing scientific papers, especially literature research, as well as first knowledge in statistics, econometrics and data analysis (basic knowledge in statistical software (Stata, R) is an advantage)
  • Ability to work independently and a high degree of reliability and accuracy
  • Experienced handling of MS Office
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
  • In the master’s program or near the end of the bachelor’s program in economics, business administration or a related field
  • Enrollment at a (technical) university
  • Internship required by the study or examination regulations or voluntary internship for career orientation purposes

The conclusion of an internship agreement requires that you are a registered student and that the study or examination regulations of your course of study provide compulsory or (voluntary) internships for career orientation that last a maximum of 3 months. We cannot consider applicants with a completed Master’s degree for an internship.
