Telecommunications as a growth factor

Economic study to determine the contribution of the telecommunications industry to economic development in Germany

Telecommunications is a basic technology for economic activities. A dynamic, efficient and innovative telecommunications sector therefore makes a significant contribution to the growth of a national economy.

Our study looks at the overall economic importance of the telecommunications sector and its role in the development of competition. It comes to the conclusion that the currently prevailing competition in the telecommunications sector leads to comprehensive positive effects on economic growth. This is mainly due to the competitors of Deutsche Telekom, which are responsible for the increased number of consumers through additional price pressure.
